Custom Raspberry Pi 5 CM HAT Design in Kicad needed quickly!
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I'm looking for a custom HAT for the Raspberry Pi 5 Compute Module. The primary function of this HAT is to provide an Ethernet port.
Raspberry Pi make a IO hat for their tiny Raspberry 5 compute module. The Kicad design files for that hat are available to download from here..

That design can be heavily edited to make the new design. You'll need to be highly skilled in Kicad to do this. I want to use a different connector for the ethernet port, specifically Amphenol MRJR5381M1.
This connector doesn't have integrated magnetics, so suitable magnetics will have to be chosen and integrated onto the PCB. Therefore, some of the key requirements are
- Place the magnetics as close as possible to the RJ45 connector to minimize signal path lengths.
- Use differential pair routing with controlled impedance.
- Implement proper grounding and shielding to reduce EMI.
- PHY Compatibility: Ensure that the chosen magnetics are compatible with your Ethernet PHY. Some PHYs require center-tapped transformers connected to specific voltage levels.
I want to get the PCB made at JLCPCB or equivalent supplier, so it's important to select components that they have in stock.
Please give me some examples of your work if you bid.
Thank you!!
