Custom PCB to Fit Enclosure
Budget: $10 – $125 USD
I am looking for an experienced PCB designer to design a production-ready PCB for a smart plant moisture monitoring product.
Project Requirements
The PCB must fit inside my existing enclosure, which will be provided as a .STEP file. Component placement is important, and the PCB must align with the enclosure, mounting points, buttons, screen opening, USB-C port, and all connector locations.
The PCB must also be designed to fit my existing 1.54" TFT SPI display, which connects using a 10-pin 0.5 mm pitch FPC ribbon cable.
Hardware Requirements
ESP32 30-pin development board (plugs into female headers; the ESP32 is NOT integrated onto the PCB)
1.54" SPI TFT display
10-pin 0.5 mm FPC connector for the TFT
Capacitive soil moisture sensor connector
JST-PH 2-pin connector for a 3.7V 500mAh LiPo battery
USB-C charging circuit for the LiPo battery
USB-C connector for charging
Three tactile push buttons
Required voltage regulation, charging IC, protection circuitry, filtering, and decoupling components
Proper mounting holes if needed for the enclosure
TFT Connector Pinout
10-pin FPC (0.5 mm pitch)
SDA
SCL
D/C
RESET
CS
GND
VCC (2.8–3.3V)
LEDK
LEDA
GND
Connectors
Please include the following connectors:
2 × 15 female headers for the ESP32 30-pin development board
10-pin 0.5 mm FPC/ZIF connector for the TFT display
JST-PH 2-pin connector for the LiPo battery
Connector for the capacitive soil moisture sensor (to match the sensor that will be provided)
USB-C receptacle for charging
Deliverables
Complete schematic
PCB layout
Manufacturing-ready Gerber files
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Pick-and-place file
Source design files
PDF schematic
Assembly drawings
Additional Notes
The design is intended for commercial production.
The PCB must fit perfectly inside my supplied enclosure.
Component placement should be optimized for manufacturing and assembly.
Please use commonly available components whenever possible.
If you recommend any improvements to reliability, manufacturability, or cost, discuss them before making changes.
Please include examples of previous PCB designs, especially products involving ESP32, USB-C charging, LiPo batteries, or TFT displays.
