Arduino Mega Shield PCB Design & Production

Job ID: 39225110

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm looking to get a custom Arduino Mega Shield PCB designed and produced. I currently have a similar shield for the Uno, which I will share, including the BOM and the layout (Gerber files). The key difference for this project is that I need 8 outputs instead of 2, in order to drive a series of neopixels with a rotary encoder in a product.

Key Responsibilities:
- Modify the existing Uno shield design to fit the Mega and expand the pin outputs.
- Ensure the new board matches the pin inputs of the old design.
- Double-check the design to ensure the boards arrive correctly the first time.

I plan to have some surface mount components (resistors, diodes, LEDs) installed by the PCB company, while I hand solder the remaining through-hole components (capacitors, connectors, power switch, header pins, etc).

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in PCB design software, particularly KiCad and ability to work with Gerber files.
- Experience with Arduino shield design and modification.
- Understanding of surface mount and through-hole components.
- Attention to detail for quality assurance.
