100W Smart LED Light Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a complete, production-ready design for a 100 W LED luminaire that will serve as the main light source in a living-room setting while still being robust enough for occasional outdoor use. The fixture must deliver high lumen output with excellent efficacy, maintain color stability over time, and integrate smoothly with common smart-home ecosystems (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or similar).
Scope of work
• Component selection: high-efficiency LED array, constant-current driver, thermal interface materials, optics, housing, and an IP-rated enclosure or coating suitable for indoor/outdoor crossover use.
• Electrical design: full schematic and PCB layout for the LED driver, MCU or smart-control module, surge and polarity protection, and any required EMC filtering.
• Thermal management: heat-sink sizing, airflow analysis or passive dissipation calculations to keep junction temperature well within limits for 50,000 h lifetime.
• Power requirements: specification of an appropriate, readily available AC-DC supply, power-factor correction, and guidance on wiring and connectors.
• Safety & compliance: recommendations to meet UL/CE, IEC 60598, and FCC/EMC where applicable.
• Smart features: outline of firmware or module choice that enables voice/app control and OTA updates without locking the design to a single platform.
Deliverables
1. Detailed engineering report covering calculations, assumptions, and standards applied.
2. Bill of materials with part numbers, indicative pricing, and suppliers.
3. Schematics, Gerber files, and 3D PCB/Housing files (STEP or similar).
4. Thermal simulation results and mounting instructions.
5. Firmware or integration notes for the chosen smart-home protocol.
6. Project timeline with clear milestones and an itemised cost estimate for prototype and small-batch production.
Acceptance criteria
• Prototype must pass a 48-hour continuous burn-in at rated power with junction temperature < 85 °C.
• Smart control should function with at least one major platform (e.g., Alexa or Google Home) out of the box.
• Total system efficacy ≥ 120 lm/W measured at ambient 25 °C.
• All files delivered in editable formats; documentation clear enough for another engineer to reproduce results.
Clear, prompt communication and adherence to the agreed schedule are essential throughout the engagement.
