Reverse-Engineer SMD PCB for Reproduction

Job ID: 40096329

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

The task is to take an existing, fully populated SMD-only circuit board (no schematics or documentation available) and recreate it so I can send the files straight to fabrication and assembly.

Key expectations and deliverables:
• Clean, readable schematic captured in KiCad, or another mainstream CAD package
• Accurate board layout matching the original dimensions, layer count, and component placement
• Production-ready Gerber, drill, pick-and-place, and paste mask files
• Complete BOM with manufacturer part numbers and reference designators
• Brief report noting any assumptions, substitutions, or issues uncovered during trace-out

We have many boards we need this done for and we are looking for a long term relationship. We prefer an agency whose primary task is reverse engineering. In some instances we will also need programs pulled from chips. Our primary interest is in speed of execution for these projects.

Price for each board can very based on complexity and discussed at the start of each one. We are willing to pay more for faster turn times.

I will provide high-resolution photos and ship fully assembled and functional PCB samples to you. The final gerbers and schematics will be compared with our samples. Firmware will be tested, and new boards will be produced and tested against the original.
