24-30V & 15V PSU Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a compact, medium-power supply that will accept a 24 V DC input and provide two regulated outputs:
• 30 V DC for a three-phase BLDC motor
• 15 V DC for the gate-drive IC
Target power is in the 100-500 W range, so efficiency, heat management and component sizing have to be addressed from the outset. Either a linear or a switching topology is acceptable as long as the finished design meets load-step stability and thermal limits typical for motor-drive environments.
Mandatory protection features
• Over-voltage protection
• Short-circuit protection
• Over-temperature protection
Deliverables
1. Complete schematic with protection circuitry
2. PCB layout files and stack-up details
3. Annotated bill of materials with current-production parts
4. Design calculations or simulation plots that verify efficiency, thermal performance and regulation accuracy
5. Brief test procedure so I can validate the first prototype on my bench
Native design files in KiCad, Altium, Eagle or another widely-used ECAD tool are fine; SPICE or PSIM for simulations is preferred but not required if the results are clearly documented.
With these items in hand I can take the board straight to fabrication and begin qualification testing on the BLDC system.
