Design circuit for research company

We have been doing research underwater using laser equipment. The current version we are using is a simple on/off laser that is activated by a pressure switch. After using it for quite a while we now want to make laser equipment with logic capabilities by adding a microcontroller. We also want to simplify the circuit into a small PCB that’s easily integrable.
