Custom board with thermometer and wi-fi

Low cost wireless thermometer that is available on the local network and has my own written very simple API. Once go the the thermometer address in the browser it should return json data containing temperature. This should be built very power efficient, i also want the batteries to be exchangeable. Also the smaller size, the better.
