I’m building a dedicated media-streaming appliance around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 and need a purpose-built carrier board that folds every essential component into one clean, reliable design.

Key functionality
• Dual Gigabit Ethernet with IEEE 802.3af PoE on at least one port so power and data can ride a single cable.
• Balanced XLR left/right audio in and out, plus a BNC connector mirrored to the left channel on both input and output paths (for word-clock or video-sync workflows).
• Port for a small OLED display and five-button keypad so users can navigate status screens without an external monitor.
• Custom PCB outline: I’m not constrained to the standard Pi footprint, so place connectors where they make the most sense for cable management inside a 1U chassis.

Deliverables I’m expecting
1. Complete schematic and PCB layout (Altium, KiCad or equivalent—Gerbers and assembly files included).
2. Bill of materials with readily available parts.
3. Reference design files or pin maps that explain how the CM5 interfaces with each peripheral.
4. Brief design note covering PoE magnetics, audio isolation strategy, and any compliance considerations for EMC.

Acceptance criteria
• Board powers and boots a CM5 over PoE at 48 V with no brownouts under full load.
• Balanced audio path meets pro-audio line-level specs (≥ +4 dBu, ~20 Hz-20 kHz, THD+N < 0.01 %).
• Ethernet links negotiate at 1 Gbps on both ports simultaneously.
• OLED and keypad respond over I²C without address conflicts.
