Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I have a concept for a brand-new consumer electronics device and I need someone who can take it from a blank sheet of paper all the way to a functional, test-ready prototype. Because this will be a physical product intended for everyday consumers, the design has to balance sleek aesthetics, reliable performance, safety, and cost-effective manufacturability.

Here’s what I expect the full journey to look like: first we refine the product requirements and target user experience; then we move into industrial and mechanical design, circuit schematics, PCB layout, and embedded firmware; finally we iterate through prototypes until we land on a version ready for pilot production. I’m open to whichever CAD, PCB, and firmware tools you normally work with—Altium, KiCad, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar—so long as the final files are delivered in industry-standard formats.

Key deliverables
• Detailed specification document and use-case flow
• 3D models, exploded views, and renders
• Electrical schematics, PCB Gerbers, and BOM with sourcing notes
• Firmware source code with build instructions
• At least one fully assembled, working prototype shipped to me
• Clear handoff package so any contract manufacturer can quote production
