Consumer Electronics PCB Power Design

Job ID: 40153635

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I have a compact consumer-electronics product that runs directly from the AC mains and now needs a dedicated PCB, or modifications to an early prototype, with robust power-management built in. The goal is to take the existing concept, refine the schematic, lay out the board, and ensure rock-solid regulation, filtering and protection so the device can plug straight into the wall without noise, heat, or safety issues.

You will be working on a single-board solution: rectification, regulation and any necessary isolation must be handled gracefully, while keeping the form factor slim and production-ready. I already have the critical component choices and mechanical envelope; what’s missing is a professionally engineered board that meets basic consumer safety standards and is easy to assemble at volume.

Deliverables:
• Updated or new schematic with AC-mains power-management stage
• Clean, DFM-ready PCB layout (Gerber + drill files)
• Complete BOM with part numbers and sourcing notes
• Brief design report outlining key calculations, protection features, and test points

I’m comfortable reviewing in Altium, KiCad or Eagle—whichever you prefer—as long as the native files come with the manufacturing outputs. Please confirm your experience designing mains-powered consumer boards and let me know how quickly you could turn the first draft once we kick off.
