Project: Design & Prototype of Class D Mono Amplifier (600W & 800W) with Matching Power Supply
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to develop two Class D mono amplifier boards (600W & 800W RMS @ 4Ω) along with matching DC power supplies for industrial outdoor audio applications. The design must be efficient, rugged, and futuristic, suitable for continuous operation.
Requirements
Amplifier Boards:
Class D Mono type — 600W RMS & 800W RMS (continuous)
Load: 4Ω, Efficiency ≥90%, THD ≤0.1%, S/N ≥95 dB
Frequency Response: 20Hz–20kHz (±1dB)
Input: 1V RMS adjustable, Balanced/Unbalanced
Protections: Thermal, Short, DC offset, Overcurrent
Indicators: Power, Clip, Fault LEDs
PCB: FR4, min 2-layer (prefer 4-layer) with EMI & thermal optimization
Power Supplies:
For 600W amp → 1200W continuous PSU
For 800W amp → 1600W continuous PSU
Output: ±60V to ±80V adjustable, 230V AC input
Efficiency ≥88%, with OVP, OCP, OTP, SCP protections
EMI/EMC compliant, fan or thermal cooling
Components:
No Chinese components.
Use parts from USA, UK, Germany, Japan, or Taiwan (sourced via DigiKey, Mouser, RS, etc.).
Deliverables:
Schematics, PCB Layouts (Gerber), BOM, and simulation results
4 amplifier prototypes (2×600W + 2×800W)
2 power supply prototypes (1×1200W + 1×1600W)
Test documentation and assembly notes
Timeline: ~6–8 weeks total
Preferred Skills: Experience in Class D amplifier & SMPS design, EMI control, and thermal management.
