Resolve Windows 11 Restore Error

System Restore on my Windows 11 Home machine repeatedly fails with code 0x80070005. The rollback reaches 100 %, reboots, and then reports that the restore could not complete. The problem shows up only after the restart—preparation and restore phases appear normal beforehand.

Just before this began I installed the latest cumulative Windows Update, and the PC is running a third-party antivirus suite (not Windows Defender). No other recent software changes were made.

I need a clean, repeatable fix so System Restore works again without touching personal files or forcing a full reinstall. Remote assistance is fine; I can supply administrator access, Event Viewer logs, and any additional diagnostics you request.
