Custom Gaming PC Startup Help
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need assistance troubleshooting my newly built gaming PC. I'm encountering a black screen on startup, and I'm unsure where I went wrong in the build process.
Currently, the following components are installed:
- Motherboard, CPU, RAM (memory), M.2 SSD (storage), AIO cooler, Power Supply, GPU
When I try to start the PC, the fans run but there's no display. Troubleshooting I have already tried includes:
- Confirmed that my monitor is correctly connected to the GPU, not the motherboard.
- I've tried both the HDMI cable and DisplayPort cable from monitor to GPU.
- I tried resetting/clearing/flashing the CMOS battery on the motherboard (removed for a few minutes then put back in)
- Pretty sure GPU is fully seated and connected, and all cables (e.g. MB power, EPS) are secured to motherboard and power supply, but it's my first time, so maybe not?

- Familiarity with all components involved (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose and fix startup issues
