Weekly US Payroll Processing

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Payroll Specialist to join our team on an ongoing, part-time retainer basis. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple US states, with the opportunity to support our international payroll operations as well.

Key Responsibilities
Process and manage end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple US states
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Stay up to date with changing tax laws and multi-state payroll requirements
Manage payroll workflows and reporting using Rippling
Support audits and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders

Required Qualifications
Proven experience in US multi-state payroll processing
Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll compliance, tax filing, and reporting
Hands-on experience with Rippling
High attention to detail and ability to meet payroll deadlines consistently
Ability to work independently in a remote, freelance capacity

Nice to Have
Experience with UK payroll regulations and processing
Experience with Canadian payroll regulations and processing
