Spanish-Speaking Payroll Assistant Needed 5-8 hours per week.
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I run payroll for a growing staff of 11-50 employees, and Spanish is our everyday language on the floor and in the office. To keep everything accurate and compliant I need help with three core responsibilities:
• Processing payroll each pay period, end-to-end, from validating hours to releasing direct deposits.
• Maintaining and updating individual employee records—new hires, status changes, benefits deductions, time-off balances, and terminations.
• Preparing and submitting all required tax filings on time, including quarterly and year-end reports.
Right now the entire workflow lives in detailed spreadsheets, so comfort with formulas, lookups, pivots, and error-checking is essential. If you are also experienced with platforms such as ADP, QuickBooks, or Paychex, that flexibility will be a bonus because we may migrate to one of those systems next year.
Accuracy, confidentiality, and clear Spanish communication—both written and spoken—are non-negotiable. I will grant secure remote access to the payroll files and expect a quick turnaround on each cycle along with proactive flagging of any anomalies you spot.
Deliverables are: finalized payroll file ready for bank upload every pay period, an up-to-date employee master sheet, and confirmation of all tax submissions before their due dates.
If you enjoy meticulous, numbers-driven work and can explain payroll matters in plain Spanish, this collaboration should fit you well.
