ERP Localization Specialist Needed

About the Role:
We are seeking a Global ERP Localization Specialist to define and design country-specific payroll and statutory compliance frameworks for Opland ERP. This role will focus on high-priority countries where demand is strong for localized HR, payroll, and financial compliance, including:
USA
Canada
United Kingdom
Australia
Singapore
United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Saudi Arabia (KSA)
India
Germany
South Africa
Your role is to lead the localization blueprinting for these countries, supporting the product, design, and development teams to create compliant and configurable ERP modules across HR, Payroll, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, define, and document local statutory requirements for payroll, taxation, benefits, and HR policies in each target country.
Create country-specific localization packs that include:
Income tax rules & tax brackets
Payroll deductions (social security, pension, healthcare)
Overtime, bonuses, and leave accruals
Garnishment rules
Final settlement calculations
Employer contribution plans
Digital compliance needs (e-filing, tax reporting formats)
Guide the UI/UX and backend teams on building configurable country templates.
Build a global configuration engine that allows dynamic rule sets per country.
Ensure compliance with GDPR (EU), HIPAA (US), and similar data laws where applicable.
Work with legal consultants in each region for policy verification.
Support multilingual design & multi-currency payroll integration.
Liaise with QA teams to validate country-specific scenarios.
Collaborate with HR functional consultants, auditors, and payroll specialists to ensure functional accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in ERP localization (SAP Payroll, Oracle HCM, or Workday experience a plus).
Hands-on knowledge of payroll compliance and HR statutory frameworks in at least 3 or more countries from the list above.
Deep understanding of country-specific employment tax laws, social security regulations, and labour laws.
Experience in preparing functional specification documents and statutory calculation logic.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Ability to translate legal texts into product-ready logic for developers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), SHRM-CP, or equivalent credential per country.
Experience working in global product companies or ERP consulting firms.
Understanding of e-invoicing, digital tax portals, and filing automation APIs.
Exposure to AI/ML in payroll processing is a plus.
