Integrate PayPal Ordering for Restaurant
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
My restaurant site is already live at https://momoai09.pythonanywhere.com/home/ and the next step is to let customers place and pay for their meals directly on the platform. The core of the job is building a smooth, secure PayPal checkout flow that fits naturally into the existing pages.
Here’s what I need you to handle:
• Hook the current “Order” buttons (or create them where missing) to a PayPal payment gateway.
• Pass the cart total, tax and any delivery fee to PayPal, then return a clear success / failure response.
• Record successful transactions in the site’s database so I can see each order’s details, payment ID and customer info from the admin panel.
• Trigger a confirmation email (or on-screen receipt) for the guest and a notification for the kitchen.
• Keep the styling consistent with the current AI-themed design and make sure the flow works smoothly on mobile.
Tech stack: the app is hosted on PythonAnywhere, so you’ll be working in a standard Python web framework environment (Flask). If you prefer Django templates or vanilla HTML/JS embeds for the PayPal SDK, that’s fine as long as deployment stays straightforward on PythonAnywhere.
Acceptance criteria
1. Customer can add items to a cart, proceed to PayPal, pay, and land back on a success page without errors.
2. Each successful order appears in the admin dashboard with full metadata.
3. Failed or cancelled payments do not create orders.
4. UX stays responsive on phones and desktop.
Please tell me how long you’ll need and link to any similar PayPal integrations you’ve done.
