Fix PayPal Donation Script

I’m looking to get the PayPal donation module inside my FusionGenCMS (built on CodeIgniter) working properly again. Right now payments reach PayPal, but the system either fails to confirm them or simply never records the donor’s information in the SQL database—so totals, rewards, and confirmation emails never trigger.

What I can provide
• Full FTP / hosting access to the site
• The existing PHP + CodeIgniter files for the module
• phpMyAdmin access and a copy of the current database schema
• Full PayPal developer-account credentials, sandbox and live

What I need from you
• Inspect and debug the current IPN / Webhook flow in the PHP controller
• Repair or rewrite the SQL insert/update logic that logs each donation
• Test end-to-end in PayPal Sandbox, then switch to Live and verify at least one successful transaction
• Hand over the fixed files with concise setup notes so I can redeploy them next time I update the CMS

Acceptance
A donation processed through the PayPal button must:
1. Return “Payment Completed” on-site without errors.
2. Create a row in the donations table with payer email, amount, transaction ID, and timestamp.
3. Reflect immediately in the FusionGenCMS user profile balance.

If you’re fluent in PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, and PayPal IPN/Webhooks, this should be straightforward. My budget is $30, and I’m ready to start as soon as you can.
