Paypal developer required - configure our paypal business account so tracking notifications are automatically sent to customers.

Job ID: 32603522

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

Our requirement is for an experienced PayPal developer. If you have experience also in opencart this is great however paypal developer experience is prerequisite.

We have an opencart store (version 3.0.3.6) with the 'paypal commerce platform' module installed, with all orders processed through our paypal business account (both credit cards as well as paypal accounts). Shipping labels are purchased and generated within paypal via their agreement with shipstation. Tracking numbers and customer email addresses appear in the transaction screen for each order but our customers are not getting emails sent to them from paypal with any tracking details, nor is our opencart store getting the tracking numbers back from paypal to update the status as "shipped".

We require an experienced paypal developer to develop, implement and test a solution. This could be setting up and configuring the paypal tracking API to enable tracking information to be sent directly by paypal to customers' email addresses based on each transaction (order placed) or possibly an alternative solution either involving opencart receiving the tracking information from paypal and notifying customers - or a 3rd option which we are open to suggestions on. Regardless of which possible method is implemented, this is a single milestone project which requires the successful implementation of tracking being emailed to customers directly following completion of the transaction. We will test the project outcome by placing orders on our store and creating shipping labels prior to releasing the milestone. If you disagree with this then please do not bid.

We don't envisage this being difficult. Should the solution you propose require interacting with our opencart store, then it is mandatory that you engage with our external opencart web developer who will collaborate on any changes that are required to be implemented within opencart. It is also mandatory that any engagement with this gentleman occurs directly (bipartite) - we will facilitate the introduction but will not be relaying messages back-and-forth over the freelancer chat box. If you have contractual, ideological, ethical or any other kind of objection to collaborating in this manner then please do not bid. For clarity we are not looking for a new opencart web developer.
