Fix PayPal & Booking SMS Alerts
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
My WordPress site takes online bookings and uses PayPal at checkout, but the PayPal integration has stopped working, PayPal account itself is fine as i recieved a booking this week and the payment went through but the pay button widget has gone off the page and is just showing code. I need someone to repair it, and run live tests until every booking flows through with a confirmed PayPal transaction.
Once PayPal is solid again, I also want every successful booking to trigger an SMS straight to my mobile so I know in real time when a customer checks out and has booked a service because im missing them and have to sign in to Wordpress to check appointments, Email notices already arrive, but I don’t want to rely on them as i cant have the notifications on because there is to much spam emails all day. If you plan to use Twilio, Nexmo, or another SMS gateway that’s fine—just configure it end-to-end, add any required plugins or API keys, and prove that the text messages come through without delay.
Deliverables
• Fully functioning PayPal integration on my WordPress site, tested with real and sandbox payments
• Automated SMS notification sent to my phone for each successful booking, with message content drawn from the order details
• A short hand-off note showing any plugins, API credentials, or webhook URLs you added so I can maintain them later
If you have solid WordPress troubleshooting experience, know the PayPal API inside out, and have set up SMS alerts before, this should be straightforward.
