WordPress Square Payment Integration

I’m building a new business-focused WordPress site and want all customer transactions handled through Square. The integration must go beyond a basic checkout; I need it to process single payments, manage recurring billing for subscription services, and accept Square gift cards or vouchers without any hiccups.

A custom-branded payment page is essential so the customer experience stays consistent with the rest of the site. Alongside the visual work, please harden the flow with extra security measures that meet or exceed Square’s best-practice guidelines. Finally, I’d like detailed sales and subscription reports surfaced inside WordPress so I can review figures without logging into multiple dashboards.

Deliverables
• Square gateway fully connected to WordPress (single, recurring, gift card / voucher enabled)
• Bespoke payment page that matches my branding and is responsive on all devices
• Added security layers (e.g., tokenisation, fraud-prevention hooks, PCI-compliant handling)
• In-dashboard reporting of payments, refunds, and subscription renewals, exportable to CSV
• End-to-end testing in both sandbox and live modes, plus concise hand-off documentation

Everything should be developed with maintainability in mind, preferably through a custom plugin or a clean child-theme extension rather than heavy code edits to core files. Once it’s live, the checkout experience should be friction-free, secure, and ready for growth.
