Node.js E-Commerce Site Development

I am building a full e-commerce web application in Node.js and need a developer who can take the project from scaffolding through deployment. The site must deliver three core experiences: a reliable shopping-cart flow, secure user accounts, and a fully operational payment-gateway connection—Stripe or PayPal are both fine, so long as checkout is fast and PCI-compliant.

My preference is for clean, modular code (Express, NestJS, or a comparable framework is welcome) backed by a database that fits the job; MongoDB or PostgreSQL are common choices, but I am open if you have a strong architectural argument. Front-end tech is flexible as well—React, Vue, or even a server-rendered approach—provided it keeps the customer journey smooth on both desktop and mobile.

To keep expectations crystal clear, here is what I consider a complete first release:

• Production-ready Node.js codebase with environment-based configuration
• Shopping cart: add, update, remove items, preserve state across sessions
• User accounts: registration, login, password reset and profile management with encrypted credentials
• Payment gateway integration: secure tokenised checkout, order capture, and webhook handling
• Admin-side order tracking and inventory hooks (basic UI or API)
• README that covers local setup, environment variables, and deployment steps
