Freelance fashion designer for women's trouser project - London
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
We are looking to recruit a freelance designer for our company, Phase & Form. This project is based in London and would require some in-person fittings. I would therefore need to work with someone based in London.
The project centres on creating a pair of tailored women’s trousers, with a strong emphasis on fit, unique construction features, and fabric performance. This paid freelance project will begin with a single garment, with strong potential for ongoing work as the product range develops.
The ideal candidate will be involved from start to finish — helping bring our unique design to life while contributing to a thoughtful, well-crafted final product with some unique brand and selling points to incorporate along the way.
This opportunity would suit someone confident in:
• drafting patterns from concepts or sketches
• creating and refining samples that are scalable including pattern grading
• applying complex tailoring and garment construction knowledge
• advising on fabric performance and sustainability considerations
I am particularly interested in candidates with an interest in innovative and sustainable materials that have scalable manufacturing potential.
If interested, I am keen to review portfolios and discuss process, lead times, and rates.
Thank you very much.
