Production-Ready Baju Kurung Design

I’m preparing a new line of Malaysian baju kurung and need a freelance fashion designer who can take the concept from initial sketch all the way to factory-ready files. The look I’m after marries classic Malay elegance—think recognisable traditional motifs—with a clean, modern twist, so an eye for balancing heritage and contemporary lines is essential.

The collection will be in various fabrics, so your design choices (drape, seam placement, finishing details) must respect that fabric’s behaviour and ensure comfort in a tropical climate. Because I’m aiming to move straight into sampling, I need everything as soon as possible; speed and accuracy are both critical.

Please deliver:

• Detailed fashion illustrations and flats showing front, back and any key style variations
• Complete tech pack: graded size chart, construction notes, BOM, and colourway call-outs
• Production-ready patterns (digital format preferred) compatible with industry CAD/CAM systems
• Trim and accessory specs that support efficient mass production
• A brief hand-off guide for the manufacturer, highlighting checkpoints to maintain quality
