Hand-Knit Celtic Tree Sweater
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
I’d like a skilled knitter to create a large, pullover sweater featuring a prominent Celtic Tree of Life motif. The design should evoke traditional Celtic knotwork while still feeling comfortable and wearable for everyday use.
Scope
• Design or adapt a clear pattern that places the Tree of Life center-front (and mirrored or complementary on the back if the pattern allows).
• Knit the sweater in a classic Aran weight using wool, acrylic, or a wool-acrylic blend—whichever best achieves crisp stitch definition without compromising comfort.
• Produce a well-shaped crew or slight-boat neckline, long sleeves, and tidy ribbing at cuffs and hem.
• Finish to men’s Large dimensions: chest 44–46 in (112–117 cm) with enough ease for layering, sleeve length and body length proportional to standard sizing.
Quality expectations
• Even tension and consistent gauge throughout.
• Clean joins, no loose ends, and sturdy yet invisible seaming.
• Washed and blocked before shipping so the garment is ready to wear.
