Convert Patterns to Casual Dress Designs
Budget: $8 – $15 CAD
I have a set of 2-D patterns for dresses and now need them transformed into fully-fledged designs that a sample room can cut, sew, and grade with confidence. The goal is to see each pattern turned into a clear, production-ready file that reflects how the dress will hang and move when made in cotton, silk, or linen.
Here is what I’ll need from you:
• A cleaned-up, digital version of each pattern, annotated with grainlines, notches, and seam allowances
• Technical flats that capture front, back, and any detail views
• A concise spec sheet noting measurements, recommended construction steps, and the three preferred fabric options (cotton, silk, linen)
• If possible, guidance on sizing grades so I can brief my manufacturer without extra back-and-forth
You’re free to work in the software you prefer—CLO 3D, Optitex, Illustrator, or another industry-standard tool—as long as the final files can be opened or exported to PDF and DXF for my factory.
I’m aiming for an efficient turnaround but care more about accuracy and a polished handoff than rushing. Let me know how many patterns you’re comfortable completing per week and feel free to share a sample of similar casual-dress work so I can gauge fit.
