Baby Clothes Design & Prototype
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m ready to launch a small line of baby garments for little ones aged 6 -18 months and need a creative partner who can take my ideas all the way from concept to a finished sample I can hold in my hands.
Scope
– Translate my mood-board sketches into clean, production-ready designs.
– Prepare complete tech packs with accurate measurements, trims, fabric call-outs, and colorways (Adobe Illustrator or equivalent is fine).
– Draft patterns and grade them for 6, 9, 12, and 18 month sizes, keeping ease of movement and diaper room in mind.
– Sew one high-quality prototype of each style so I can test fit and comfort. I’m planning a small mix of pieces—think playful onesies, comfy sleepwear, and maybe a cute dress—so you’ll need versatility.
Key considerations
• Fabrics must be soft, breathable, and safe for sensitive skin; organic cotton or bamboo blends preferred.
• Fastenings should pass choking-hazard standards and be easy for parents to use.
• Seam finishes should withstand frequent washing.
Deliverables
1. Tech pack PDF for every approved style
2. Full-size, production-ready pattern files (DXF, PDF, or similar)
3. One sewn prototype per style, shipped to my address
4. A brief summary of materials and suppliers used
