Luxury Scarf Pattern Designer Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am preparing a new line of high-end scarves and need fresh, abstract motifs that feel exclusive yet timeless. My vision leans heavily on hand-drawn illustrations—elegant ink strokes, expressive water-colour washes, or pencil sketches that can be translated into production-ready repeats. While I will eventually digitise the artwork for print, the soul of each piece must start on paper and showcase the unique imperfections of true craftsmanship.
Looking for a range/mix of styles- from abstract to architectural - collections will be thematic, designed around a specific place or culture, and will require the designer to do extensive research ( will also provide very clear inspiration and guidelines). Looking for someone who can help with custom/corporate gifting designs as well - inspired by a company/brand without being literal- no logos- -- designs should reflect the experience of a place or brand.
Here’s what I’m looking for right now:
• 3–5 original scarf designs suitable for silk twill or cashmere/modal blends
• Each design supplied as the raw scan of your illustration plus a cleaned, layered file (preferably AI) ready for colour separation
• A seamless repeat or panel layout sized for a standard square scarf (90 × 90 cm or equivalent)
• A brief note on your palette choices and any finishing suggestions
Because style alignment is crucial, please send examples of past work that highlight your hand-drawn pattern or illustration skills—anything on textiles, stationery, or prints is welcome. I will shortlist based solely on portfolio strength and how well your abstract aesthetic fits the brand mood. Bonus if you have experience with equestrian inspired print design.
If selected, you’ll receive a concise mood board, logo placement guide, and the print house specs so you can finalise the files quickly. Turnaround for the first draft is two weeks from the brief; revisions are minimal if the core concept is strong. I will also set up a video call to provide all information prior to starting the project- as each will be different depending on if for a specific client, or for our core retail collection.
