Small Estate Refiling

An elderly woman friend of mine in Oregon was named as “Personal Representative” & also as a “Beneficiary” in a small estate Last Will & Testament (5 pages total). A “Small Estate Affidavit” was also completed (10 pages). Both documents had 2 witnesses present and the notary public affixed her stamp to all signature pages. Both documents were filed with the county clerk’s office and the filing fee was paid. Unfortunately, she got a Notice to Appear for a Hearing: Show Cause {by the judge}—meaning produce evidence that she is a “Beneficiary” (there is documentation as proof). I review both documents for her and discovered that in the Last Will & Testament only 2 pages of 5 pages were filed: the first page and the fifth page (signature page). The judge also stated to refile an Amended “complete Will” that shows she is a Beneficiary. The missing pages cannot be found & I also found several errors in the Small Estate Affidavit. This will also have to be Amended and refiled. Because the decedent is deceased how do I refile both documents without the decedent’s signature as Testator . I thank you in advance for you help.
