A Motion for an Order to Show Cause

Job ID: 40034628

Budget: $100 – $250 USD

We are seeking a paralegal to prepare documents for an Order to Show Cause against the client’s HOA in Carroll County, Indiana, turning the client’s notes into a polished filing that addresses two key issues with equal importance: compelling the HOA to unlock and restore utility access and requiring the HOA to provide a full, documented accounting of every charge they claim the client owes.

What is Needed
• A complete OSC package—notice, motion, supporting memorandum, declaration, and proposed order—formatted in compliance with local court rules.
• Strong legal arguments supported by relevant case law establishing the court’s authority to order immediate restoration of essential services and to require a transparent accounting from the HOA.
• A concise yet thorough timeline outlining each relevant event, to be keyed to evidence once it is collected.

The paralegal will receive the client’s recollection of dates, copies of recent shut-off notices, and access to any HOA communications the client can locate. The client is seeking clear, strategic drafting, a fast turnaround, and a filing package that is ready for the client’s signature and immediate e-filing. Experience with homeowner association disputes, emergency motions, or injunctive relief is considered a strong plus.
Provide a brief checklist of filing steps, required fees, and any county-specific notices or service requirements so I can complete the process pro se.

Payments are sent the first of every month based on completion of the work and the client filing the document at court with a case number
