Experienced Probate/Trust Administration/Estate Planning Paralegal Needed (Remote) - State of Florida

Description
This position is a contract, virtual 1099 position for one of our clients located in Florida! The ideal candidate will have experience in the area of Probate, Trust Administration and Estate Planning.
The candidate will be responsible for drafting, filing, the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm, and meeting with and assisting clients over zoom or phone call. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized in an online database. A team player and ability to work well independently while maintaining a high level of timeliness and attention to detail is a must.

Hours and Compensation
- Hours: Up to 20+ hours per week
- Compensation: The contractual pay for this position is $30 per hour. Payroll is bi-monthly. Due to the 1099 nature of this position, no benefits are offered and you are responsible for your own taxes.
Responsibilities
- Draft Florida Probate, Trust Administration and Estate Planning documents
- Review and edit legal documents pertaining to Probate, Trust Administration and Estate Planning in the State of Florida
- Meeting with clients when necessary over zoom or phone call
- Create and maintain case files
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research when necessary

Qualifications
- Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in the above listed areas for 4+ years
- Status must be a full time freelancer; must not have prior commitments as a W2 employee
- Daytime availability, Monday - Friday
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
Requirements

- Daytime availability, Monday - Friday
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
- 8 GB or more RAM, with strong preference for 16 GB; SSD preferred, especially if RAM is on the lower end
- Windows 10 Pro or 11 Pro required
- Strong preference for desktop computer rather than a laptop

- Ability to meet with clients when necessary over zoom or phone call
