Ceiling & Coving Water Stain Repair
Budget: $300 – $500 AUD
A recent leak left a small water stain—no bigger than a square foot—on my ceiling, and the adjoining coving shows the same discoloration. The plaster is still solid; the issue is purely cosmetic, and I’d like the finish to blend so well that no one can tell work was done.
Here’s what I need:
• Verify the area is completely dry before beginning.
• Treat the stained sections of ceiling and coving with a quality stain-blocking primer (Zinsser BIN or similar).
• Lightly sand or skim if necessary so the repair sits perfectly flush.
• Repaint the treated spots, matching the existing flat white on both ceiling and coving.
• Protect the room, supply all materials, and leave the space spotless—ideally including a small touch-up pot of the final paint.
