Southern Gothic Packaging Design

Job ID: 40006835

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m preparing to release Hemlock & Hearth’s debut 30 ml parfum and need a designer who can translate our Southern-Gothic soul—decay, nostalgia, and dark romanticism—into a tangible piece of packaging art. The palette is intentionally restricted to monochrome shades so the atmosphere feels moody and timeless rather than busy.

The bottle will carry only the brand name and logo, so typography must do the heavy lifting: elegant, legible, and quietly haunting. Once the label is solved, the same spirit carries onto the outer box, which should unfold like a short story—texture, shadow, and restraint all working together. I would like some graphics on the outer box. I’ll supply exact dielines, dimensions, and any printer specs you need; I simply ask that you return press-ready files (CMYK, proper bleeds) along with the editable source so future collections can build on your groundwork.

Quick, clear communication is essential because I’d like to move through final tweaks together without delay.

Deliverables
• Front & back label design sized for a 30 ml/1 oz bottle
• Matching multi-panel box artwork
• Print-ready PDFs plus layered AI/PSD files

Acceptance criteria
Artwork must honor the monochrome palette, evoke decay and dark romanticism, include only the brand name and logo on the bottle, and pass the printer’s pre-flight check with no additional adjustments.
