Role Overview
We seek a creative, detail-oriented Product Designer specializing in packaging design who can transform the way our LPG stoves are packaged and presented. The goal is to rethink and redesign the current packaging, which consists primarily of traditional corrugated boxes, to a more premium, unique, and customer-friendly solution that enhances the unboxing experience, protects the heavy product effectively, and reinforces brand value.
Key Responsibilities
* Redesign packaging structure, materials, and opening mechanisms to create a premium, innovative, and distinctive packaging solution.
* Develop packaging concepts that improve product protection during transportation while offering an attractive, user-friendly unboxing experience.
* Explore alternatives to traditional corrugated boxes, incorporating modern, durable, and eco-friendly materials or designs.
* Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and branding teams to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of packaging designs.
* Research market trends and packaging innovations in home appliances and other heavy products for inspiration.
* Create prototypes, mock-ups, and detailed design specifications for new packaging solutions.
* Maintain balance between aesthetic appeal, functionality, sustainability, and cost.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
* Proven experience in packaging design, preferably with heavy or fragile consumer products.
* Strong creative and problem-solving skills to rethink how products can be packaged and delivered.
* Familiarity with packaging materials, structural design, and sustainable packaging practices.
* Proficiency in CAD or packaging design software and 3D modeling tools.
* Eye for detail with a strong sense of aesthetics and brand alignment.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts clearly.
