Trace Social-Media Phisher
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need an experienced OSINT or digital-forensics specialist to help me track down and document a phishing scammer who contacted me through a major social-media platform. The individual attempted to harvest my personal details, financial information, and login credentials.
Here’s what I can already provide:
• Full copy of the chat thread (timestamps intact)
• Screenshots of the phishing pages and any URLs used
• Header data from the password-reset emails they triggered
Your role is to:
1. Analyse the accounts, links, and hosting trails to uncover the real operator (or the highest-confidence lead possible).
2. Compile a concise evidence report that I can forward to the platform’s abuse team and, if necessary, law enforcement.
3. Recommend concrete steps I should take to secure my data and prevent follow-up attacks.
Deliverables will be accepted when the report includes:
• Trace methodology and tools used (e.g., Maltego, Whois, reverse-image search)
• At least one verifiable identifier—IP, hosting provider, or linked social handle—tying the phishing infrastructure to a person or group
• Actionable remediation checklist
If you’ve successfully unmasked phishing actors before, let me know briefly how you approached it. Fast turnaround is appreciated as the account is still active.
