PAYPAL DUPLICATE PAYMENT GLITCH OSCOMMERCE

hi i run an oscommerce site with paypal website payments pro
sometimes customer wil place order and order will go thru 2 times and payment taken 2 times sometimes 3
i need code patched so that it detects order already made from same customer and not allow it to thru again
e.g Customer ID = 31
order id = 1 time: 21:30:13 order total : 1.00
1 x Coke
order id = 2 time: 21:31:45 order total : 1.00
1 x Coke
order id = 3 time: 21:32:32 order total : 1.00
1 x Coke
Notice the order is exactly same and the amount also and 3 orders have been generated all within 1 or 2 mins of each other
this is classic case of duplicate or triplicate order
so the system should be able to detect this and not allow a 2nd payment to be processed
