PL/SQL, Pentaho Developer on Contract
Budget: ₹400 – ₹750 INR
We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL developer on contract for 6 months (Working hours 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM India time).
In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing and deploying database objects like tables, functions, stored procedures, triggers, packages, etc. You will also be responsible for coding, unit testing and improving query performance.
Good understanding of ETL and data migration is essential. Experience in version control tools like Liquibase is an added advantage. The candidate should be well versed in agile methodology and is expected to follow agile practices within the team.
Primary skill needs
• 5-6 years of software development experience. Minimum 4 years of DB development.
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL and bulk data processing.
• Experience with RDBMS like Oracle, MS SQL, Postgresql, MySql, etc.
• Experience in ETL/data migration tools like Pentaho, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, SQL Loader, etc.
• Adept at query tuning and debugging.
• Knowledge of db tools like TOAD, Sql Developer, SSMS, pgAdmin, MySql Workbench, etc.
• Ability to write clean, coherent code and follow established coding conventions.
• Working knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies (scrum, XP).
Key Responsibilities:
• Reviewing database requirements and preparing ER diagrams with integrity constraints.
• Identifying db objects based on requirements and visualize application interactions with db.
• Developing and implementing highly-responsive db objects, queries and reports using SQL or PL/SQL.
• Developing unit test scenarios and ensure proper unit testing of developed codes.
• Troubleshooting and debugging codes.
• Developing queries for statistics and other purposes which may come adhoc.
• Preparing deployment/rollback scripts.
• Work with agile teams and ensure all agile process are followed with proper planning and execution.
• Ability to play a variety of roles and most importantly, take accountability.

• Knowledge in db version control tools like Liquibase.
• Self-starter and self-learner, focused on research and learning.
• Collaborate efficiently with various teams to deliver integrated, solid and tested solutions.
