Oracle Cloud Debian Instance Setup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an Oracle Cloud account ready and I want a custome Debian-based VM spun up from scratch, configured to my own specs, and fully reachable from my local machine. Your job starts with provisioning a brand-new compute instance, then walking me through (or performing for me) every custom step—network layout, firewall rules, persistent public IP, SSH key management, package sources, and any system tweaks we decide on together—so the server boots cleanly and is immediately accessible.
Because this is a custom build, I’m expecting more than the default image: think tailored networking, storage choices that suit future expansion, and the installation of a short list of tools and services we’ll finalise once we begin. I’d like to understand what you’re doing as we go, so clear explanations or brief documentation will be appreciated.
When we finish I should be able to:
• Log in via SSH from my laptop without extra hops
• See our chosen configurations reflected in the OS and Oracle Cloud console
• Reboot the VM and have everything come back exactly as set
