Oracle Application - Server Administrator

Oracle Application Server (OAS) Administrator - OCI Position Overview: As an Oracle Application Server (OAS) Administrator for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the OAS environment on OCI.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of the OAS infrastructure and applications deployed on OCI.
Key Responsibilities: OAS Installation and Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Application Server on OCI compute instances, adhering to Oracle's best practices and guidelines.
Set up OAS domains and configure components, such as Oracle Server, Oracle Web Cache, Oracle Forms, and Reports. Application Deployment and Management: Package and deploy Java-based applications (EAR, WAR, or JAR files) to the OAS domains on OCI.
Monitor application performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and provide application support. OAS Environment Monitoring and Tuning: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks or issues in the OAS environment. Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal resource utilization and application responsiveness.
Security and Access Control: Implement security measures, including SSL/TLS configurations, to safeguard communication and data integrity within the OAS environment. Set up user authentication, authorization, and access control within the OAS domain.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity for the OAS environment. Regularly test and validate the disaster recovery process. High Availability and Load Balancing: Configure OAS server clustering and load balancing to achieve high availability and load distribution across multiple compute instances in OCI.
Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts using WLST (WebLogic Scripting Tool) and other tools to streamline administrative tasks and configuration management. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with application developers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and optimize the OAS environment.
Maintain detailed documentation related to OAS configurations, deployment procedures, and support procedures.
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6 to 10 Years of relevant experience Proven experience as an OAS Administrator, preferably with experience in the OCI environment. In-depth knowledge of Oracle Application Server and Oracle WebLogic Server.
IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service) Cloud Professional OR Relevant Experience.
