Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator, The ideal candidate will be responsible for oracle and sql server database for multiple databases. This role requires extensive experience with Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery, PSU patching procedures, GoldenGate replication, and SQL Server administration. The successful candidate will be tasked with database maintenance, performance tuning, system monitoring, and troubleshooting, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the stability and security of our database environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
Perform database administration tasks including backup and recovery processes using Oracle RMAN, PSU patching, and performance tuning.
Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication processes for data accuracy and availability.
Administer SQL Server database environments, including maintenance, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Implement and monitor database security measures to protect sensitive data.
Provide technical support for database environments, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Develop and maintain documentation for database administration procedures and policies.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical database support.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong experience with Oracle RMAN, backup and recovery processes, and PSU patching.
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.
Proficiency in SQL Server administration, including maintenance, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Excellent understanding of database security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
referred Qualifications:
Oracle or SQL Server certification is highly desirable.
Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Shell scripts) for automation.
