Optical Simulation Specialist Needed

Job ID: 39771233

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced freelancer to conduct optical simulations using RSoft Photonic Device Tools. The goal is to optimize the optical behavior of a 30 cm x 30 cm birefringent (BEF) structure used in LCD panels. The focus is on reducing optical losses, specifically in terms of light "disappearing" or being absorbed when the BEF structure is tilted.
Specific Requirements:
Simulation of BEF structure: The freelancer will simulate a BEF structure of 30 cm x 30 cm size and adjust the tilt angle of the prisms to minimize light loss.
Focus on optical losses: The goal is to optimize the design so that the optical loss (light disappearance or absorption) drops from large values (e.g., 10 cm) to much smaller ones (e.g., 1 cm).
Simulation Tools: The freelancer should use RSoft's tools (like BeamPROP, FDTD, etc.) to simulate light propagation, reflection, and transmission through the BEF structure.
Report and Visualization: A final report detailing the results of the simulation, including visualizations such as 2D/3D light distribution maps, light intensity, reflection patterns, and an analysis of the optimizations made.
Deliverables:
Simulation results: Including 2D/3D visualizations of light distribution, loss minimization, and efficiency improvements.
Report: Explaining the optimization process, simulation setup, and the impact of angle changes on optical performance.
Recommendations: Any suggestions for further optimization or design changes based on the results.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of RSoft Photonic Device Tools and experience in optical simulations.
Ability to optimize designs for specific optical outcomes, such as reducing light loss and improving efficiency.
Experience in analyzing birefringent structures and light propagation in photonic devices.
If you have experience in this area and can help improve the optical performance of this BEF structure, please get in touch.
