Scan & OCR Technical Manual PDF
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have a 448-page English technical manual that I need turned into a clean, fully searchable PDF. You will first purchase the book online (I’ll reimburse you—just forward the receipt), then scan or photograph every page with either a flatbed scanner or a high-resolution camera.
After capture, run the images through an AI-powered OCR workflow so the resulting file meets two key requirements:
• It looks like an exact replica of the printed pages.
• The text is also available in a reflowable, selectable layer for quick search and copy/paste.
Please keep pages in the correct order, crop and deskew as needed, and maintain consistent margins so the document feels professional. Light proofreading to catch obvious OCR errors is appreciated; flag anything you’re unsure about.
Deliverables within one month of book delivery:
1. A high-definition, searchable PDF of the entire manual.
2. The original purchase receipt.
3. (Optional but valued) a brief log of any pages that required manual correction.
If you already work with tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, ABBYY FineReader, or other reliable OCR suites, let me know—experience with bulk technical documentation is a plus.
