Develop software and website to automate the input of data in 4 external websites.
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
We calculate intraocular lens power in 4 online formulas using data that we type in websites (this is an example: https://iolcalculator.escrs.org/). Part of the data inputed is derived from reports extracted from ophthalmic equipment.
The problem is: we get a report from the equipment and we go to the websites and for each parameter, we type it manually. The same data in all websites, typed one by one.
The solution that we need is: to automate the extraction of the data from the report and to input this data and all the other data in a few (very few) clicks solution. We demand a high quality project and execution.
To to so, the way to reach what we need is:
Develop a SOFTWARE AND a WEBSITE that will be used as a shortcut to input data in 4 websites that require this same data, through automation.
The input data is 34 parameters: 28 numeric and 6 nominals. 21 parameters are derived from an image report (PDF or JPG or PNG or other commonly used image) and 13 are input by the user.
To automate the reading of the data from the report, it's needed the construction of an OCR software inside the software and website that works as it follows:
1. OCR reading, will happen only inside a selected rectangular area that will be identified with XY coordinates in the image defined by the user in a repetitive way (the reports present the data always in the same topography of the image). For each parameter, there would be a specific selected area in the report.
2. The user will be able to create new "report types" and each report will have specific positions from which extract the data, so the data can be extracted from different reports (as long as the data is always in the same place for each type of report).
3. The OCR should not be linked to cloud computing or any other way that wastes money because it's intended for many users
Also, in this website (https://iolcalculator.escrs.org/), that is 1 of the 4 that we need to export the data, there is a option to select an intraocular lens (IOL), and these lenses have a number associated to them that is the "A-contant". We need to automate a process in which we download all the lenses and A-constants from this website into the developed software/website; have the option, inside the software to select the specific IOL and, by selecting it, the automation would output the A-constant into the other formulas.
This is the basic and more complex functions that we need.
Also, we described, in an attached document, the whole idea and concepts that we draw, and we expect that all the specific requirements should be filled. If it's not possible to fill any of the requirements, that should be discussed prior to the project start.
If we agree with the quoted value and the requirements are not met, we should agree in a 15% decrease in the quoted value.
If the programming skills are high and 0, not even a minor bug in the software is found when its first released until after 3 weeks of initial use, we can agree in an extra 10% of added value from the bid.
