Mathematician for Transport Optimisation Project
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Applied Mathematician – Intermodal Optimisation
BookSmart24 develops optimisation architectures for intermodal air and rail travel across Europe.
We are looking for an applied mathematician to help formalise and optimise the mathematical decision logic behind our SmartChoice optimisation engine.
Your work will include analysing heterogeneous transportation networks, modelling airport, rail and hub structures, identifying where generic optimisation remains valid and where location-specific optimisation logic becomes necessary, defining adaptive weighting models, and transforming these into scalable decision architectures.
Requirements
Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Physics or a related quantitative discipline
Exceptional analytical and logical thinking
Strong background in optimisation, graph theory, network science or complex systems
Ability to transform mathematical models into practical optimisation architectures
Ability to solve complex real-world optimisation problems independently
This role is for someone who enjoys rigorous mathematical thinking, elegant modelling and solving complex optimisation problems with real-world impact.
