[WANTED] Oneclick Transportation Operations Manager

CONTEXT
Oneclick Transportation is a freight company that handles its own small fleet of trucks and drivers. We are looking for an operations manager, preferably with transportation industry experience, to oversee our daily activities, examine and improve our current processes from lead generation to job completion, and coordinate with future hires and broker agents on new policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership and analytical skills, maintain the company's high standard of customer service, and display extensive knowledge of transportation management systems.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily operations related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles
- Organize and delegate jobs to subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards
- Create schedules for active jobs, review timelines, identify additional resource requirements, review them with appropriate managers for approval, and allocate resources for each job and driver
- Assist with terminal supervision in dispatching and managing local and long-distance domestic fleet
- Onboard new drivers to the company
- Collaborate with staff members to formulate and implement new job-related processes and set priorities and guidelines around revenue goals and customer service objectives
- Arrange repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles
- Assist sales team with marketing by providing information about available capacity and growing existing clients
- Assist with the compilation and communication of payroll information
- Cooperate with other departments to incorporate logistics into company procedures and operations
- Minimize operational expenses while maximizing equipment utilization
- Ensure company compliance with transportation-related policies, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
- Lead investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper disputes
- Evaluate company budgets and expenses
- Update and analyze metrics to assess performance and consider improvements
- Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits and participating in company safety meetings

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of the transportation and consumer goods industries and logistics
- Deep understanding of logistics and inventory management software
- Experience working with transport management systems and warehouse management software, such as FreightPath and Infoplus
- Ability to promptly and accurately create required legal paperwork
- Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations
- Ability to manage stressful situations with sensitivity and care
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and CRM software

SALARY
- Monthly basis
- USD$600 (but negotiable after a successful first month)
