Procurement Operations Manager
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
The Procurement Operations Manager will ensure achievement of corporate procurement organizational goals by driving process and continuous improvement efforts across Stryten Energy, Element Resources, and Motrex LLC. This includes standardizing and simplifying processes and procedures, consolidating reporting of Procurement KPIs, level setting and performing other operational duties as defined by the Sr. Director of Procurement. The Procurement Operations Manager must define the most effective and efficient methods for measuring Procurement performance by level setting and benchmarking internal and external procurement best practices. They must also work with IT to provide the tools the Category Managers need to effectively meet their goals.
Responsibilities
Execute on the strategic business plan for Procurement
Act as main liaison between suppliers and engineering/quality/manufacturing to ensure development of optimal supply solutions
Responsible for year over year cost savings on repeat buy and driving improvement in working capital through improved payment terms
Responsible for Procurement team achieving all other applicable desired KPI results
Identify new opportunities through technology or ingenious supply solutions to better position the company’s costs
Own the coordination and recommendations to the Director of
Procurement for hedging raw materials and utilities including electricity, natural gas and diesel
Recommend actions to improve business working capital to achieve quarterly and annual targets
Perform reviews with suppliers based upon scorecard performance
Engage early with Engineering to ensure procurement is in an optimal position to impact cost and working capital on CapEx projects
Qualifications
College degree preferred
High analytical skills
Demonstrated direct and cross-functional team leadership
Draw accurate conclusions from financial and quantitative information
Summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision making
Executive level communications and selling skills
At least 5 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing or procurement
Convey understanding of market conditions and trends impacting the supply base
Stay abreast of worldwide segment developments and opportunities
Respond to the unique needs of individual factories or facilities
Seek feedback from suppliers and internal customers to identify improvement opportunities.
Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite
User experience working with business intelligent tools such as Tableau, Smartsheets, and Coupa
Team oriented leader
Adaptability and positive reaction to business needs and evolving strategies
The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Travel of up to 25% may be required
