GL.iNet OpenVPN Server Setup
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I need my GL.iNet router configured as a fresh OpenVPN server that will let me log in securely from my Windows PCs when I’m away in another country. The router is already online and running stock firmware; I simply haven’t enabled or tuned the VPN portion yet.
Here’s what I expect:
• Install and enable the OpenVPN server module on the router Glinet, using strong TLS encryption and up-to-date ciphers.
• Generate the CA, server key, and separate client profiles (.ovpn) for at least two PCs.
• Adjust firewall rules and routing so only authenticated VPN traffic reaches my local network; everything else should stay blocked.
• Hand me clear, step-by-step instructions for importing those .ovpn files into the official OpenVPN Windows client.
I can give you temporary remote access to the admin interface or SSH, whichever you prefer, and I’ll test each profile from an external connection before signing off. Once the tunnel proves stable and I can browse internal resources without leaks, the job is done.
