OpenCV Expert for Football Pitch Calibration

Job ID: 39977784

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Job Title:
Computer Vision Engineer Needed to film a small five-a-side football pitch and create simple calibration for three camerasJob Description:

I am looking for a computer vision engineer with good experience in camera calibration using OpenCV to help record a simple scene in a five-a-side football pitch and then extract a preliminary calibration for three stationary cameras.

The project is small and simple, requiring only basic calibration for a simple research experiment in football match analysis.
Tasks Required:

1. Film a short scene on a five-a-side football pitch

Place three fixed cameras at a suitable height.

Record a short video of a player moving on the pitch.

Film short shots of calibration points or markers.

The cameras can be just any mobile phone; no professional equipment is required.

2. Setting up simple calibration markers

A printed chessboard or clear markings on the floor can be used.

Objective: To obtain a preliminary calibration only.

3. Extracting Calibration Files

Using OpenCV:

Intrinsic Parameters

Extrinsic Parameters

A small file showing the position of each camera relative to the field

We don't need extremely high resolution, just a preliminary, testable result.

What will be delivered:

Three calibration files (YAML or JSON)

A short scene video

A calibration footage video

A simple diagram of the camera positions

Requirements:

Experience with OpenCV Camera Calibration

Knowledge of multi-view geometry (intermediate level sufficient)

Ability to shoot in a small field
