WordPress Plugin QA and Technical Review
Budget: $150 – $300 USD
Job Description:
We are building a modular WordPress plugin that scans SEO issues, generates AI-based fix suggestions using OpenAI, and allows one-click fixes with full rollback and logging. The plugin is developed in four structured milestone phases and is nearing final testing.
We are seeking a QA tester or technical reviewer to conduct a complete functionality, usability, and security review of the plugin. Your findings will help guide final improvements before public launch.
Scope of Work:
Milestone 1: SEO Scanner + Admin UI
Detects missing titles, H1s, meta descriptions, image alt attributes, internal/external links
Displays issues in a sortable admin interface
Milestone 2: OpenAI Integration + Suggestions UI
Verifies AI-generated SEO suggestions via the “Get Suggestion” button
Checks for proper API prompt logic, response handling, and UI display
Milestone 3: Apply Fix + Rollback + Logging
Tests apply the fix functionality
Reviews rollback accuracy and log tracking
Verifies export of logs as CSV
Milestone 4: Packaging + Licensing + Launch Support
Confirms plugin ZIP installs properly
Tests license key validation and usage limits
Reviews Freemius or WooCommerce integration and subscription flow
Responsibilities:
Review provided milestone documentation (Phase 1–4)
Install and test the plugin in a clean WordPress environment
Identify bugs, usability issues, or security flaws
Submit a written report with actionable feedback
Include screenshots or screen recordings if needed
Required Skills:
Experience testing WordPress plugins
Understanding of PHP, Composer, AJAX, WordPress APIs
Familiarity with OpenAI or AI-powered content tools is a plus
Strong communication and reporting skills
Deliverables:
Written QA report (PDF or DOCX) covering:
Test results by milestone
Bugs or logic flaws
Recommendations for improvement
Security or performance concerns
Optional: CSV log or annotated screen captures
Payment Terms:
Milestone-based payment
Rate negotiable based on the scope and depth of each review
Payment is released upon submission and approval of each milestone’s QA report
